I am a “snowbird”. I have delt with Esteban Land Design for the last couple years for various issues with my landscape watering system. His crew has spent a couple Fall days cleaning up my yard after I had come back after being gone for 6 months & made piles of cuttings which they removed & blew my yard clean of 6 months of leaves, debris & my cuttings.

Last summer, while I was gone, I had several 3/4” water feeder breaks in which Esteban, at my request, sent out someone to find the breaks & repair them.

His pricing was very reasonable for both the yard cleanup & as well for the emergency leak repairs to the watering system. The watering system was installed by another contractor in 2012.

This late Winter & early Spring (2024), I experienced more issues with my existing watering system. Several additional breaks occurred. I became very concerned that leaving this summer (2024) was going to result in severe damage to my watering system resulting in the loss of much of the established plants/trees/bushes

I called Esteban & asked him to come over & give me a price to replace the entire system, to include the removal of any of the old 3/4“ tubing as needed, the addition of 2 new commercial water valves & a new commercial grade control box. In addition, I wanted the entire new system to be PVC—not the 3/4” tubing that had given me so much trouble over the past 12 years.

His crew came to my home on a Wednesday morning early (5:30am) & the entire job was completed by Friday @ Noon! Also, In that time period, they did some major trimming of 4 tall Mexican palms & 2 Pineapple palms & disposed of all the cuttings.

I am very impressed with the crew’s quality of work, their attention to detail & the way my yards looked after their work had been completed: as if nothing had happened! Highly, highly recommend Esteban Land Design team! I am going to be extremely honest in this review. We just moved into a new build house with no backyard landscaping. We received a door advertising (amongst hundreds of others for other services) but decided to call and get a quote.

We received quotes from multiple different companies for FAR more money (3k-10k more) for FAR FAR less design. We decided to go with Esteban Land Design because we really needed landscaping for our dogs. We were worried that because we went with a lower quote we may be compromising on quality.

We were extremely wrong! When I say I have never had any type of home service that worked as quickly, professionally, and with the upmost quality products and skills I really mean it. They are incredible! If we ever want to add anything I know where I am going!

We purchased our house in Sun Lakes in May and it was clear that the landscaping had not been attended to in a while; the sprinkler system was not working properly, and the appearance was generally pretty shabby. Esteban helped us select the right plants for our setting, installed them and replaced the old sprinklers with a drip system to ensure adequate watering. Now both the front and back yard look great! The bougainvillea and lantana in the front add lots of color to the front, increasing the "curb appeal" of the house. Previous landscaper added a patio to my casita but didn't take changing grade of the yard into consideration. It made a mess causing me to have standing water in my yard by the wall. Esteban Land Design came out to give me an estimate for repair. Esteban is professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He immediately saw the problem and gave me an estimate. Within the week the crew was here and began work on the project.

Prior to completion we asked them to put pavers around artificial turf to keep the rocks out of the yard. Esteban again gave me an estimate. They did an awesome job. The whole team was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. They walked me around the pavers job and showed me some small drains they put in so there would not be any water standing in the yard.

They cleaned up even though they were not done with the job. They put up trash cans and made sure the gate was closed. Upon completion they cleaned, used leave blower to clean the yard and made sure there was no rocks in the yard. They put back anything they moved. The yard looks great. Esteban is third generation and has been in business 37 years. We would definitely use Esteban Land Design again. Becca the receptionist is awesome in her own right. Entire backyard landscaped. This was a 7-day project. Showed up every day at 7 am with at least a crew of 4. Esteban was at the site early each day to cover expectations. I was looking for a reputable company to do some major landscaping work on my back yard. I wanted all new irrigation, the whole yard regraded, some plants removed, and new ones installed and finished off nicely with rock. I came across Esteban Land Design on the internet and called for a free consultation. Esteban answered on the first call, set up a meeting right away and showed up as promised. He walked the backyard with my husband and I and listened to our questions and concerns about the drainage issues and the overall vision we were hoping the yard would look like once it was done. I had Esteban Land Design in to replace a drip line and run it to some new bushes I planted, and to take up some grass near the house and change the brick border to go around it. Everything was done very professionally. The grass removal areas were laid out with a barrier to prevent weeds from growing and the brick edging was all cemented to make a beautiful sweeping edge. I was looking for a reputable company to do some major landscaping work on my back yard. I have been searching for a knowledgeable irrigation specialist for years to no avail. My last two non-successful attempts resulted in an enormous bill from one company to fix one small leak and the second company required me to submit credit card information before they would even put me on a ‘first come, first serve’ list and told me they couldn’t tell me when they were coming until the day before their visit. That meant they had ensured payment and I was left with what could be a leak in my system potentially for weeks before they would show! Both were enormously bad choices.
